Holiday Tours Specialist Enjoying Record Breaking Summer

by Mark.Ash on August 18, 2010

Events holidays, city break holidays, theme park destination holidays and touring holidays are just some of the holiday packages tempting UK travellers right now, according to data released by a leading UK holiday tours specialist.

UK holiday firm, Door2Tour.com, which specialises in events and touring holidays, including cruises, theatre and city break holidays, theme park holidays and scenic tours has experienced a record- breaking summer for sales of its holiday packages.

The success of the firm, which offers a mixture of luxury and budget touring holidays in Europe and worldwide: is further proof that niche holiday markets; including events and specialist holidays firms, are bearing up well as the UK holiday industry recovers from recession.

The firm offers flights and accommodation packages and includes a strong element of coach trips, international coach breaks and coach touring holidays, continental tours, group and European tours and city breaks with trips and sightseeing itineraries built in.

Clearly, for many people having all aspects of their travel, accommodation and itinerary prepared in advance for their holiday vacation provides them with valuable peace of mind when booking a holiday.

The company’s record holiday sales for July 2010 show that despite an unstable few months for many of the big travel industry names, resulting in a very competitive market for the consumer right now, holiday companies in many sectors of the holiday industry remain totally unaffected by recession concerns and in many cases are actually booming.

The firm is currently reporting record sales for July 2010.

The company’s bookings data shows that sales are up by 123 per cent compared to 2009, which is partly due to a huge surge in interest in its tours holidays and also Disney Break holidays, Europe’s biggest tourist attraction: Disneyland in Paris. Its day trips bookings saw the largest improvement with a massive 202 per cent increase, further proof that city breaks and short trips are very popular over summer months.

Business is certainly booming for the company which is popular with family groups and all age ranges.

The company’s cruise options involve stop offs in Austria, Canada, the Caribbean, Egypt and the Nile, Germany’s Rhine Valley, the Norwegian Fjords as well as other classic destinations: Portugal and Madeira, the South Americas, Spain, Hawaii and the Panama Canal.

The company brings together national and regional tour operators, creating European and worldwide touring holiday packages, including events, theme park breaks and theatre breaks; as well as Christmas breaks, cruises and holidays by air to major destinations.
