It would appear the BA / Unite saga is set to continue with more talks planned with British Airways next week. Unite have confirmed that talks have been planned however there is no specific day set for next week as yet.
There are rumours that Unite is planning more strike misery over the Christmas holidays and half term periods, however a Unite spokesman denied these reports. He claimed that to date there are no future strikes planned whilst outstanding issues are still waiting to be resolved.
The dispute has now been ongoing since November 2009 when British Airways reduced staff numbers and made cuts to salaries. Tensions between BA and Unite have since gone from bad to worse after BA removed travel concessions for staff members taking part in strikes, and more recently BA have taken disciplinary action against certain members of staff after complaints of intimidation and bullying had apparently been made.
